Brush with greatness
About a third of you are old-school geeky enough to remember USENET newsgroups and so will be as thrilled by this as I am.
Big Brother 4 started in the UK last Friday; it has since been revealed that one of the housemates, one Jon Tickle, used to post on rec.arts.tv.uk.misc, rec.arts.tv.uk, uk.media.tv.misc, and rec.arts.books.tolkien; you can check his apparently complete USENET posting history through Google Groups, né DejaNews.
Anyway, it only turns out that one of his posts from January 1996 - in which he discusses appearing on Blockbusters with his twin brother - was following-up directly to one of mine.
I now have a definite reason to take an interest in this year's BB. GO JON!
